Paintings of Butterflies and Flowers

Cuteness everywhere! In my paintings of butterflies and flowers, I paint cute birds who are having the best time in the summer garden with pretty flowers and their butterfly friends.

In my paintings, many times there are cute birds who like to rest on cozy, fluffy flowers where they can sing and chirp. And sometimes, like in this painting called, “Happy Summer’s Day”, a little butterfly will sit on the top of one of the birdie’s heads where she looks like a silly hat, a butterfly hat. If you look closely at this painting you’ll see a little orange bird with a yellow butterfly hat!

Paintings That Tell a Story

Many of my paintings tell a little story about a moment in time of what is happening with cute birds who live in the fanciful garden I created called Chattering Birds Garden.

In this close-up detail from this watercolor painting, “Scout Found Baby Betty’s Leaf”, I painted a story about a little bird named Baby Betty who found and then lost a leaf. (You can read the story and see the entire painting here.) The painting shows the very last scene, where one of Baby Betty’s friends is giving the leaf back to her.
